A platform with more than one kind of game.
Stake.com is an online casino and sportsbook. Its casino brings together slots, live casino titles, table games, and a collection called Stake Originals. The sportsbook is a separate part of the platform for sports and esports markets. For this guide, we are focusing on the casino and the studios behind its games.
A useful way to understand Stake is to separate the place where a game is offered from the studio that creates it. A catalogue can contain work from many developers, each with a different visual identity and approach to gameplay.

Understanding the game catalogue.
Stake Originals is Stake's own game collection. Its published catalogue includes titles such as Dice, Mines, Plinko, and Crash, alongside other formats. The broader casino also features games from other publishers. Seeing a game on Stake does not, by itself, tell you who designed it.
| Term | What it tells you |
|---|---|
| Stake.com | The platform offering the casino and sportsbook. |
| Stake Originals | A particular collection of Stake-developed games. |
| Game publisher | The studio credited for a title in the catalogue. |
| Engine | The development and publishing route discussed below. |
When exploring a title, start with its publisher, rules, and features. Those details describe the game more clearly than a category label or a piece of promotional artwork.

Where independent studios come in.
Engine provides a route for independent teams to build and submit games for publication on Stake. The submission is reviewed for matters including functionality, communication, visual quality, and technical performance. Creating a prototype and receiving publication approval are different milestones.
Engine's current distribution documentation says games launch on Stake, with a choice at submission between Stake-only distribution and an offering to operators on the Engine Network. Network participation does not guarantee that every operator will accept a game.
For us, the interesting part is the creative space this opens up: a small studio can develop a distinct theme and share the work behind it. Our separate guide to Engine takes a closer look at that process.

Fairness, RTP, and the experience of a game.
Stake describes a provably fair system that allows supported game outcomes to be checked using cryptographic inputs and a published commitment. A verification method explains how an outcome can be checked; it does not predict the next result or promise a profitable session. Other publishers can use different game technology, so check the information for the particular title.
Return to player (RTP) describes a game's theoretical return over a large volume of play. It is not the amount a person is guaranteed to receive in one session. Volatility concerns how outcomes vary, including the frequency and size of wins. Rules, return, and volatility are different pieces of information.
Our reading habit: understand the rules first, look for the published game information, and treat visuals as a way to explore a theme rather than evidence of a likely result.

Where EveGames fits.
EveGames is an independent studio developing its first game, Oni Dojo, with the aim of submitting it through Engine for Stake publication. The game is currently in development. A release date, approved game specifications, and a live play link have not been announced.
This site is our place to introduce that world and share development updates. We write these guides to make the surrounding platform easier to understand, while keeping our own progress clear. As the game takes shape, its page will be updated with finished artwork, confirmed information, and release news.
